Effective date: June 8, 2026

Encryptopus is a file encryption and decryption app. The app is designed to process files locally on your device.

Information We Collect

Encryptopus does not collect, sell, or share personal information.

Files and Content

Files selected in Encryptopus are processed locally on your device for encryption, decryption, secure delete, and related file operations. Encryptopus does not upload your files, passwords, encryption keys, or decrypted content to our servers.

Passwords and Security Data

Passwords entered in the app are used locally to perform encryption and decryption. Encryptopus does not transmit passwords to us. If app lock or biometric authentication is enabled, authentication is handled by your device operating system.

Permissions

Encryptopus may request storage access so you can select, read, write, encrypt, decrypt, or delete files. It may request notification permission to show progress for background encryption or decryption tasks. It may use biometric permission if you enable app lock features.

Network Access

Encryptopus uses internet access to check a remote launch and update policy. This check may include basic technical request information handled by network infrastructure, such as IP address and request time. The app does not send your files, passwords, or encryption keys as part of this check.

Local Storage

Encryptopus may store app settings, security preferences, launch policy status, and task state locally on your device.

Third Parties

Encryptopus does not use advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs. The app may open Google Play when an update is required.

Children's Privacy

Encryptopus is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
